Policies & Procedures 2023-2024
Teacher Responsibilities - My Mission as a Music Teacher is to share the joy of music, to guide and support my students to learn to play the piano, having fun as they gain the musical knowledge for the journey they wish to take. I will use a variety of ways to teach children including games and off the bench activities to reinforce musical concepts. Each student is different in their learning process, and I will adapt teaching methods to each student’s needs.
I am committed to continuing my personal Music studies with ABRSM. I am also passionate and committed about training through online means to continue to improve as a teacher.
DBS CERTIFIED. (Proof of Certificate on request)!
Student/Parent Responsibilities - To provide a Piano or Keyboard for regular Piano Practice. To attend lessons promptly bringing all lesson materials organised in your Binder with Games Bag. Music Books, Assignment Sheet and a pencil.
To pay studio fees on time according to invoice date.
Registration/Materials Fee £60
A registration fee of £60 is payable when registering each year.
- Secures your lesson day/time.
- Lesson books and other curriculum books i.e., theory, sightreading, tech exercises.
- Materials such as sheet music, assignment sheets, certificates, flashcards, games to keep, music binder and games bag. (Replacement of games bag items when needed).
- Additional support between weekly lessons during the year and can include Videos and Video Tutorials.
- Digital lesson and practice notes.
- Student Portal on Website
- Access to my music books and games lending library.
- Angel Keys Piano Recital in early Summer 2024.
(Adult materials will differ slightly to the child’s)
Studio Calendar - Lessons are conducted during School Term Time using the Norfolk County Council School Calendar. Some flexibility for SENCO students that need to keep routines in place.
Lesson Options and Prices
Angel Keys Studio - 30 min - £14.00 Angel Keys Studio - 45 min - £21
In-home Teaching - 30 min - £20.00 In-home Teaching - 45 min - £30
Fortnightly 1- hour lessons recommended for adult students.
Payment in advance
School Half term (Weekly via special arrangement only on a case-by-case basis).

Missed Lessons – Due to the teacher’s absence, a make-up lesson will be offered, a credit will be applied to your account or a refund due to you.
Missed lessons by the student will be billed as this time is set aside for you. I can only offer a make-up lesson if lesson time becomes available during normal teaching hours.
Alternatively, an online lesson will be offered at your normal day and time of the lesson, or a video lesson will be offered to you.
Performances - I would encourage you to take any opportunities you have to perform. i.e., School, Church and in your community. Angel Keys Piano will hold a recital in July for those wishing to participate. Please let me know of your interest.
ABRSM Exams - I will be offering Exam opportunities for those Student's wishing to take the next step in their musical journey. Exam fees and Exam books are the responsibility of the parent or student.
Terminating Lessons - If you decide for whatever reason, you no longer wish to continue Piano Lesson's, I will require 3 weeks’ notice (by email or text), so I am able to fill the time slot. It is your choice if you choose to attend for the last few lessons or not, but payment of these lesson's will still be required.
