STUDIO POLICIES 



Teacher Responsibilities


My mission as a music teacher is to share the joy of music. To guide and support my students to learn to play the piano, having fun as they gain the musical knowledge for the journey they wish to take. I will use a variety of ways to teach children including games and off the bench activities to reinforce musical concepts. Each student is different in their learning process, and I will adapt teaching methods to each student’s needs.


Student/Parent Responsibilities

 

To provide a piano or keyboard for regular piano practice. To attend lessons promptly and to support your child’s practice at home.


Monthly Payments


❖ The monthly payment amount is divided evenly between the 10 months from September to June inclusive. The tuition fee is the same whether there are 5 or 2 scheduled lessons in each month. 
❖ Payments are due by bank transfer or online through PayPal before the start of each month.
Late payments will incur a 10% late fee. 
❖ There is a £65 registration fee payable when registering. This holds your spot in the studio and goes towards the cost of materials and books throughout the year. Access to the music books and games lending library.
❖ Fees cover the cost of tuition, and all materials, including books. Exams will be paid for by the student/parent.
 
Studio Schedule


Lessons are conducted during School Term Time using the Norfolk County Council School Calendar.


Missed Lessons


❖ If a student will be missing their lesson for any reason, they should inform me by text or email with as much notice as possible. If they wish, we can then organise a video or online lesson. 
❖ There are three teacher absences accounted for in the tuition. This time off will be taken at the teacher’s discretion. If for any reason the teacher must cancel more than three lessons in the year, I will offer a makeup lesson at a different time, or if a suitable time cannot be arranged, I will credit the fee.

Terminating Lessons


If you decide to discontinue lessons, I will require 1 months’ notice 

(by email or text).
