I am a wife and a mother of 3 boys and a girl. I have 6 siblings in which I am the second eldest. I have also have a stepdaughter and two grand babies.

I have travelled a fair bit and at the age of 19 I moved and lived in America for 13 months as a live in Au Pair.

Music has been a big part of my life from a very young age. I had a Mum that loved to sing and encouraged me in my music abilities. Like my Grandmother, I followed in her footsteps and learned to play the Piano.

In the beginning I played by ear and was often found at a piano after church meetings. My mum taught me how to read music and then got me into private piano lessons, where I started my musical journey. As I had a strong background in music and could already read music notation, my piano teacher put me straight into the ABRSM exam syllabus.

I took lessons from the age of 10-16 and completed up to Grade 5 in exams. I was working on my Grade 6 before I left lessons due to college education demands. I regret giving up lessons and am at a point in my life now where I am picking up where I left off.

I spent, many years only really using my musical talents at church. This kind of music really isn't very challenging except at Christmas time when I supported playing for our Christmas Carol Concert for the Ward Choir. Or when I was asked to play the Organ for Weddings and Funerals.

It has always been a dream of mine to be a piano teacher. I am excited to be back on my musical journey personally and professionally. I am invested in improving myself as a teacher so I can be the best teacher I can be to my students.
